This set combines the best characteristics of our standard P with the earnest clarity of the NJ5FS. The hum-canceling qualities of these pickups in congruence with each other's tonal structure creates a dynamic amalgam of P/J versatility. The neck position distributes a full bodied and resonant 60s & 70s tone, while the bridge cuts through with its genuine growl and piercing lucidity. This P/J combination will give presence and clear cut articulation to any player's style, providing a tone that asserts these pickups' character through a steady study of their fluid interactivity.

- NP5 pickup and an NJ5FS (split coil) bridge position as a set.
- Fender spacing
- Alnico V magnets.
- Drop-in P/J replacement pickups.
- Available in black plastic covers.
- Laser cut, fiber bobbins.
- Wax-potted to contain any unruly frequency that may attempt to desecrate your desired tone.

Alnico III magnets differ from Alnico V in that they are warmer with a softer character. Think of them like a 60’s J style sound taken even further down the warm and fat path. Alnico V by contrast is brighter, cleaner and punchier, and will have a more wiry, stringy character. As another example, we’d recommend A3 for fretless or a fat 60’s Jaco type thing and A5 is great for a modern slap type thing or an R and B sound.

Alnico V comes standard.
